The Gingerbread Man

Yesterday was a crazy day in Pre-K. Our gingerbread cookie went missing!

We read "The Gingerbread Man" as a class.

While we were napping, the gingerbread cookies were baking in the oven. Silly Miss Oberste opened the oven and a cookie ran out. Just like in our story! We went searching for her and found clues she left.

The clue on the playground led us to Ms. Proctor's Art room.

The Art room clue led us to the Computer Lab. We found the next clue almost on the ceiling! Next, we were off to Ms. Scalet's office.

Thanks to help from Ms. Scalet, we realized the cookie was back in our classroom!

We searched and searched for that cookie! We found it!

Then it was time to enjoy our cookies!

After our snack, we had to go to Music and tell Mrs. Wantiez about our adventure!

We think that will be the last time Miss Oberste opens the oven full of gingerbread cookies!

Getting in the Christmas Spirit

Thank you to everyone who donated to our Advent Service Project. We took our donations to the Ministry of Compassion. They were so thankful!

Sitting around the fire place in our Home Living center.

Marble rolling candy canes.

We had to take pictures in front of the tree in our Christmas outfits!

Pre-K Happenings

Working on what goes together.
Last week we read the story of the Good Shepherd. Here we have students closing their eyes as the "lost sheep" hides.

Next our students had to guess which classmate was the lost sheep.

Playing outside together!

Building inside!

One student has been working so hard to make his way across the monkey bars!

Fire Safety

The Broken Arrow Fire Department is awesome! They came to talk about fire safety, show us their uniforms and the firetruck. They reminded us that if they ever come into our house to help us, we don't need to be afraid or hide!

Nurse Jeanne was another visitor we had this week. She taught us how to Stop, Drop, and Roll. She also told us that if there is smoke in the room, we need to "Stay Low and Go!"

We did a couple of fun art projects too! Hand print firemen and our own fire pictures, using our hands as paint brushes, remind us to "Get Out and Stay Out!"
